Hublot launched the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Sapphire Rainbow, featuring the iconic smiley flower of the Japanese artist, by Hublot indifferent.

This is the perfect fun and luxurious experience for Hublot at the end of the year. Takashi Murakami refreshed his iconic Hublot partnership with the stunning new Classic Fusion, or in their description, "a whirlwind of transparency and color."

The two started 2021 with a black iteration of the exact same work, and now they end the year with rainbow-like joy and serious bling. With this new work, Takashi Murakami continues to transfer the world of kawaii to horology. The artist kept his beloved smiley flower, which is his unofficial watermark recognized globally.

What else is new? Hublot's technical masters have perfected the art of transparency, which shows both Takashi's work and the mechanical miracle behind the brand. In terms of form, it is the best Classic Fusion. The 45mm case sapphire crystal cut case is as impressive as the exquisite craftsmanship of its dial. This is also the pioneering specification of the brand in technology.

Now this is the part of the watch I am most excited to talk about: the dial. The diamond-encrusted sunflower with such a playful smile was made in 3D and is located on top of the sapphire crystal. This is thanks to the ingenious ball bearing system specially developed by Hublot engineers, which allows the petals to rotate under the smiling face, making Murakami's smiling flowers come to life. Twelve vibrant petals revolve around its face, creating a multi-color effect. At first glance, it is difficult to understand which gems are mixed here. Break it down for you. It is a mixture of rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires, tsavorites, yellow and orange sapphires. There are 487 gems in total. There are 384 on the petals and 103 on the glass.

Below it is the core of the timepiece: the HUB 1214 movement, which is automatically wound and provides a 72-hour power reserve. In addition, on the back of the watch, we see "LIMITED EDITION + ©TM/KK" prominently displayed. The watch is equipped with a transparent lining rubber strap. The Hublot Classic Fusion Murakami Sapphire Rainbow Watch is limited to 100 pieces, each priced at US$106,000 (approximately S$144,694).
