Lake Oswego, Oregon — December 14, 2021 — CUI Devices’ Thermal Management Group today announced the recent expansion of its DC fan and blower product line, adding more than 30 new series and more than 500 new SKUs. These very economical models include a range of sleeve bearing and ball bearing options as well as CUI Devices' omniCOOL™ bearing system, which has a longer life and higher performance compared to traditional fan designs. In addition to being very economical, models with the suffix C, CF, BG or BF also offer the industry's best delivery time as low as 12 weeks. As engineers continue to face the problem of shortened design cycles, CUI Devices’ delivery time is 20 to 40 weeks longer than the current average delivery time in the fan market, which has a major advantage.

CUI Devices’ DC fans and centrifugal blowers now have frame sizes ranging from 25 mm to 120 mm, with airflow ratings ranging from 1.17 CFM to 200 CFM. All models are equipped with automatic restart protection as standard, including additional options for tachometer signals, rotation detectors and PWM control signals. These DC fans provide rated voltages of 5, 12, 24 or 48 Vdc, various rated speeds from 1500 to 23500 RPM, and static pressure ratings from 0.04 to 5.22 inH 2 O. In addition to its standard products, CUI Devices can also provide customized DC fan or blower solutions to meet various forced air cooling needs.

CUI Devices’ DC fan and blower models are available immediately, starting at $3.87 for each 500 piece. Please contact CUI Devices for OEM pricing.

In order to solve the increasing changes of advanced nodes, the design team increased the guard band margin and signed with a higher sigma to manage the risk, which led to over-design and thus paid higher PPA costs. The innovative ML-driven statistical engine of Synopsys' PrimeShield™ solution supports complete statistical design change analysis, reduces overall pessimism, and in some cases captures the potential risks of design optimism. In Part 2 of the PrimeShield technology series, Synoposys introduced design change analysis and change robustness, gave a brief overview of each concept and discussed the value that each concept brings in terms of increased power and performance.

Portable medical devices require long battery life and small form factors to ensure successful patient use and positive medical results. ADI's MAX16164, nanoPower on/off controller, takes into account the service life and portability, while providing the design flexibility of programmable sleep time.

On-chip monitoring can significantly change the life cycle management landscape. By leveraging modern technology, today's more complex designs can be optimized even after deployment. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton and Stephen Crosher of Synopsys talked about chip lifecycle management and how to make full use of optimization opportunities such as scalability and reliability.
