As anyone who has driven will tell you, UTV is incredible. Over the past decade, their popularity has exploded and made them the main product of the off-road community. But like any off-road drilling rig, these miniature machines will wear out over time. When it comes to CV axles, the degradation is not as obvious as tires or brake pads. The damage is internal, and if it is not dealt with in time, it may cause disastrous consequences.

To help us better understand the content of UTV axles and how they wear out, we spoke with Robert Murgado, GSP Product Manager. "The problem with UTV is that they have seen a lot more abuse than ordinary cars," he pointed out. "They are torn apart in deserts, woods and off-road parks. Car owners like to make a lot of upgrades for their side-by-side, running different tires, suspensions, and lighting. In the end, these upgrades highlight the weakest link. At some point, the The link becomes the CV axis."

Mulgado made a good point. UTV is usually only used for off-road, and off-road is by no means gentle for vehicles. The rest of the time, it is either hung on a trailer or placed in the garage. So it's nice to know that GSP offers to replace the CV axles to let the good times continue to roll. However, in order to do this, owners must take time to check their UTV.

Murgado suggested: "I would say it would be nice to check the axles after every outing or every other outing." "If it is my UTV, I will also conduct annual maintenance and inspections. The last thing you want is in the wilderness. Was broken. Fortunately, replacing the UTV axle is not necessarily difficult. In fact, it is quite fast. In any case, it is a good practice to install an additional CV axle on the vehicle."

Murgado provided some suggestions on what to pay attention to when inspecting CV axles. "It's actually the same as a normal car," he said. "You may have encountered a serious bump or hole on the road. Jump out and make sure it is okay, because sometimes the axle will be clean and neat. Related to this, you may have torn your boots and started leaking grease. Grease is used Lubricate and help lower the temperature. Once the grease disappears, it will heat up. At that time it was just a ticking time bomb."

Compared to inventory, GSP's CV shaft for UTV provides a much-needed upgrade. This is due to stronger shafts, higher articulated joints and high-quality molybdenum grease.

GSP provides CV shafts for many new UTVs. Currently, they have more than 300 SKUs available for popular brands and models.

"Other symptoms may be hearing a click when turning," he continued. "Then there is rust, but that is an extreme situation. It's like you wading or driving on a salt water road in winter."

Therefore, suppose you have completed the inspection and found a small crack on the shaft. Over time, the cracks will spread and eventually lead to failure. As the saying goes, one stitch saves nine stitches. So what can GSP UTV CV axles provide?

"Our HD axis is a great solution," Murgado said. "Basically, we adopted the OE design and strengthened it, so compared to the OE model, it is now a high-definition upgrade. We use a stronger standard shaft and usually upgrade the size of the joint. The joint also provides better Joints. This is because inside the joints, we use improved cages, better ball bearings and high-quality molybdenum grease."

GSP's axle coverage is very good, covering all popular brands and models on the market today. "For UTV alone, we have about 300 SKUs," Murgado commented. "This is a very complete product line, and we cover all subsequent models."

Now that you know what will happen to UTV's CV axles, and you know what GSP's HD axles will bring, you can handle the inevitable well. Be sure to visit GSP's website to learn more about its products, and don't forget to follow GSP on Facebook.
