If you’re still rockin’ a Shimano Dura-Ace 11-speed group, you’re in luck. Not only does Muc-Off say those 11-speed chains are 36.6% faster than the new 12-speed chains, but their new oversized derailleur pulleys make them even faster.

Formerly available only for their pro teams (EF Education Easypost, INEOS Grenadiers, and Elite IRONMAN triathletes Laura Philipp and Kat Matthews), they’ve made a limited batch of the L.O.P.S. 2.0 (Lightweight Oversized Precision Shifting) upgrades available for purchase.

More than just reducing friction with a ceramic bearing upgrade, Muc-Off tweaked the angles to reduce articulation and friction, further optimizing the chain’s path.

It’s designed, developed and built in the UK specifically for the Dura-Ace RD9100 and 9150 Di2 rear derailleurs. The 13-tooth upper and 19-tooth lower pulleys are machined from aerospace-grade aluminum, then coated with a friction-reducing finish that they say has 88% less friction than standard alloy and 71% less than hard-anodized metal.

The frame is a mix of carbon fiber inner plate with additive 6/4 titanium outer plate, making it both light and a claimed 62% stiffer than the stock Shimano cage.

Their own in-house testing, which uses a complete drivetrain for the most realistic results, used multiple cassette ratios. Results showed the L.O.P.S. 2.0 system having the lowest drag of other popular brands’ oversized derailleur pulley systems.

Weight is 79.4g, and retail is £999.99 while they last. Available direct from Muc-Off.

1 watt saving at $999 versus stock dura-ace pulleys (with fully grease packed bearing)?

“Their own in-house testing” i think they need to change how the spell muc

Alot of money for not much benifit

$1,000 for one watt savings (assuming you’re religious about chain/lube maintenance). We’re in another “cocaine” era of cycling tech.

LOL MUC-OFF THEY DO IT ALL BUT NOTHING THE GREATEST. ITS LIKE THE SUNLITE OF THE CYCLING INDUSTRY.

Isn’t Sunlite the Sunlite of the cycling industry?

Will this work on my Huffy Stone Mountain?

As stated… If your Huffy is running Dura Ace 9000/9100, Then Yes… Operators are standing by to take your order…

A grand, to save one watt. LO-F-L…

Ok it’s expensive and does very little. But a grand spent and you have that logo on your rear mech? Ouch.

I hope the people buying these make good use of the seconds they arrive earlier from training.

Second. If they’re out for 3 hours.

11 speed chains are 36.6% faster than 12 speed? Does than mean 6 speed is even faster?

Hey, anyone willing to pay $1k for derailleur pulleys is probably willing to pay another $500 for installation. My services are available. Just call me at 1-800-747-8633. That’s 1-800-RIP-UOFF.

Is that really the packaging? Seems incredibly wasteful and a clear indication that you’d be overpaying for something.

Oh Please, M-Off. Go back to windshield bug cleaner where you actually had cred…
